Director and co-owner of First Logistics, Mark began his career with the company as a Trainee Consultant at the age of 23. Through dedication, professionalism, and a strong work ethic, he has progressed through the organisation to his current position as Director.

Prior to joining First Logistics, Mark spent five years working within the transport industry and holds a National Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).

Over the course of his career with First Logistics, Mark has established a strong reputation for delivering high-quality distribution staffing solutions across the Greater Manchester area. As a hands-on Director, he remains actively involved in the day-to-day management of the business, ensuring the company consistently maintains high standards of service, reliability, and operational excellence.

HAYLEY SHEPHERD

Hayley Shepherd is an experienced Recruitment Consultant specialising in the logistics sector, bringing over 10 years of expertise across recruitment and finance functions. She has built a strong reputation for connecting high-performing talent with leading logistics and supply chain organisations, supporting both permanent and contract hiring needs.

Alongside her recruitment career, Hayley has 10 years’ experience within accounts departments, where she has managed payroll, supported month-end processes, and contributed to accurate financial reporting. This dual background gives her a strong commercial awareness and a detailed understanding of business operations, enabling her to better support clients and candidates alike.

Currently studying towards her AAT qualification, Hayley is committed to continuous professional development and maintaining a high standard of financial and operational knowledge. She combines industry insight, attention to detail, and a relationship-focused approach to deliver recruitment solutions that are both strategic and results-driven.

Emma’s achievements include obtaining her Transport Manager Certificate of Professional Competence (TMCPC) Licence, a significant qualification that demonstrates her expertise in transport legislation, fleet management, and regulatory compliance. As a Transport Manager, she combines her frontline experience with strategic oversight, ensuring operations run efficiently, safely, and in full compliance with industry standards.

With nearly two decades in the sector, Emma is known for her reliability, leadership, and deep industry insight, making her a valuable asset to any organisation within the transport and logistics industry.
